Cards for Hospitalized Kids

An ongoing program · Poway Farmer's Market & library events

A project focused on spreading love and hope through difficult times. A combined event by Brushstrokes for Biodiversity and Project Patho.

Cards for Hospitalized Kids is a project focused on spreading love and hope through difficult times. Specially drawn animal artwork is included in small gifts for local hospital patients, with uplifting messages written on the back by community volunteers.

Volunteers are recruited at the Poway Farmer's Market and at library events. This is a combined event by Brushstrokes for Biodiversity (BfB) and Project Patho.

  • Cardiovascular System Event

    8/7/26 · 4s Ranch County Library

    A free session for kids ages 6–12 on how the cardiovascular system works, the anatomy of the heart and blood vessels, and a hands-on activity at the end.

  • Skeletal System Event

    A free session for kids ages 6–12 on how the skeletal system works, why it matters, and a hands-on activity at the end.

  • Respiratory System Event

    Kids explored how the lungs work at the 4s Library, including a balloon activity that shows what happens every time you take a breath.
